Volvo Trucks Certified Electric Vehicle Dealers announced in Canada and Texas

New Electric Vehicle (EV) dealerships have been certified in both Texas and Canada. Bruckner’s Truck & Equipment in Fort Worth, Camion Volvo Montreal, and Paré Centre du Camion in Quebec City recently received the designation.

This adds to a growing list of areas with Certified EV dealers that includes California, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

Volvo Trucks designed its Volvo Trucks Certified EV Dealer program to help its dealers ensure technicians understand the proper safety procedures when servicing electric drivetrains and components. Service teams are fully trained to safely perform maintenance and repairs for battery-electric trucks in operation and equipped with personal protective equipment for working with high-voltage systems.

Lone Star Debut

Bruckner’s Truck & Equipment in Fort Worth becomes the first Volvo Trucks Certified Electric Vehicle Dealer in Texas. As one of the largest and oldest Class 8 truck dealers in the country, Bruckner’s Truck & Equipment will leverage its extensive industry experience to assist customers in the region with integrating the zero-tailpipe emission Volvo VNR Electric model into their operations to achieve their sustainability goals.

“Since 1932, Bruckner’s has invested in our people to provide the highest level of service. This is done through continuous training and development of our team to ensure our customers receive the best service possible,” said Scott Hall, general manager of Bruckner’s Fort Worth location. “We are demonstrating this approach by completing training to be a Volvo Trucks Certified EV dealership.”

Fleetmaster Express’ fleet of 10 VNR Electrics receive routine
maintenance and service through a partnership between Nacarato Truck
Centers and Texas’ first Certified EV Dealer, Bruckner’s Truck and
Equipment in Dallas/Fort Worth.

Great Green North

Paré Centre du Camion was founded in 1987. Its Québec City facility is equipped to service Volvo VNR Electric trucks, including procuring an electric truck charger. Paré Centre du Camion has already trained and certified three technicians to perform maintenance and repairs on customers’ Volvo VNR Electric trucks.

“We are thrilled to be one of the first two dealerships in Canada to complete the Volvo Trucks Certified EV Dealer designation and look forward to helping our fleet customers in the region transition to Volvo VNR Electric trucks to improve supply chain sustainability,” said Marie-Claude Paré, dealer principal, Paré Centre du Camion.

Camions Volvo Montreal and Paré Centre du Camion became the first two
Volvo Trucks Certified Electric Vehicle Dealers in Canada. Camions Volvo
Montreal will service Martin Brower’s initial order of VNR Electrics for
food delivery.

Camions Volvo Montreal was founded in 2014 and is part of a network of eight Volvo Trucks dealerships. Its flagship Dorval location boasts the EV Certified designation and now includes six truck bays that have been equipped to support battery-electric vehicle maintenance and repairs.

“We are having weekly conversations with our customers who are very interested in the Volvo VNR Electric technology, including discussing which routes might be ideal to start with when integrating battery-electric trucks into their fleet,” said Jean-Francois Bibeau, vice-president of sales, Camions Volvo Montreal.

More than a dozen dealerships are expected to become fully EV certified in North America by the end of 2022.
