Customer track is expanded to demonstrate Volvo Dynamic Steering and other features

The Volvo Trucks Customer Center has announced significant upgrades to the facility’s customer experience track in Dublin, Virginia, tripling the size of the three-mile custom-designed course. The course now includes two super-elevations demonstrating radius and grade change, as well as a one-mile straightaway extension to offer customers a fully immersive driving experience.

Safety features like Volvo Dynamic Steering (VDS), available on virtually all Volvo Truck models, can be demonstrated to understand how VDS handles high speed, incline acceleration, descent braking, and curve steering mobility.

"VDS is transforming how drivers operate by eliminating much of the work behind the wheel, while reducing strain for better comfort and enabling safer and easier steering. Customers can test all the safety and driver comfort features on the customer experience track designed with new S-curves and concrete curb drops that simulate a real-world truck driving experience."
ROB SIMPSON, DIRECTOR OF THE VOLVO TRUCKS CUSTOMER CENTER

The customer experience track is one part of the 36,000 square-foot state-of-the-art Volvo Customer Center. The center also features interactive product displays, multiple exhibit and training rooms, a pilot review room with 40-ton lift, and a large theater-style hall.
